Prince Seere: Sigil, Powers, Enn, Offerings & Summoning Ritual

Seere, also written Seir, Seer or Sear, is the seventieth spirit of the Ars Goetia. He is a mighty Prince under Amaymon, king of the East, and commands twenty-six legions. The grimoire describes him as a beautiful man riding a winged horse and gives him one dominant quality above all others: speed.

Seere is said to cross the world in the blink of an eye, carry things wherever the magician wishes, reveal thefts and hidden treasures, and bring matters to sudden completion. That makes him one of the clearest Goetic spirits for situations where the desired result is not only possible, but needs to move quickly.

I approach Seere for swift movement, finding what has been lost, uncovering concealed information, accelerating stalled circumstances and bringing resources or opportunities into reach. The ritual below is built around those traditional offices rather than around a generic candle-and-sigil template.

Who Is Prince Seere?

The primary description of Seere appears in the Lemegeton / Ars Goetia. Unlike many earlier Goetic spirits, Seere is not found in Weyer’s Pseudomonarchia Daemonum. He appears in the later manuscript tradition as the seventieth spirit.

The text calls Seere a mighty Prince under Amaymon and describes him as a beautiful man riding a strong winged horse. His office is to go and come, carry and recarry anything, bring matters to sudden effect, reveal thefts and hidden treasure, and give truthful information concerning other matters. The same source describes him as mild, courteous and willing to act for the magician.

That last point matters. Seere’s current is fast, but not chaotic. In my experience, he is more useful for precise acceleration than for reckless speed. A request should therefore name both the result and what needs to move.

Seere’s Powers

Traditional office How I use it in practice
Bringing things to sudden effect Accelerating stalled matters, shortening delays and creating rapid movement
Carrying and recarrying anything Travel, relocation, delivery, transfer, movement of opportunities or resources
Revealing thefts Finding what happened to missing property and exposing concealed actions
Revealing hidden treasure Locating overlooked resources, valuable information and hidden opportunities
Giving true relation of other matters Divination, clarification and uncovering the real state of a situation

Prince Seere’s Sigil

The seal of Seere belongs to the Goetic manuscript tradition and is the primary symbol I use when establishing contact with him. For a spirit whose power centers on swift movement and exact execution, I prefer keeping the visual focus simple rather than surrounding the seal with excessive decoration.

Prince Seere sigil from the Goetic tradition

During evocation, I place the sigil at the manifestation point. During attunement, I gaze at it until the lines begin to shift slightly in peripheral vision and the surrounding space takes on a different quality. The point is not to stare until your eyes hurt. The seal is a focusing mechanism that narrows attention onto Seere’s current.

If you want a deeper explanation of this method, see my guide to working with demonic sigils.

Seere’s Enn

The modern enn commonly used for Seere is:

Jeden et Renich Seere tu tasa.

This chant does not come from the Ars Goetia. It belongs to modern demonolatry practice. I still use enns because they are effective as attunement formulae, but I keep the historical distinction clear. The seal and office come from the Goetic tradition; the enn is a later ritual development.

I use the chant until the atmosphere changes and then stop. The objective is contact, not repetition for its own sake.

What Does Seere Look Like?

The Goetia describes Seere as a beautiful man riding a strong horse with wings. That image fits his office unusually well. The horse suggests speed and transport, while the wings remove even ordinary physical limits from that movement.

I do not require the spirit to appear in exactly that form during every working. Seere may be perceived through a mirror, dream, mental image, sudden sentence or a strong shift in the atmosphere. What matters more is whether the contact develops a stable character across repeated work.

What Is Seere Best For?

Seere is one of my first choices when the main problem is delay. That can mean a process that has stalled, information that is taking too long to surface, an opportunity that needs to move from possibility into reality, or an object that has disappeared and needs to be found.

His current also works well when several moving parts need to line up quickly. The old language about carrying and recarrying anything can be read very practically. Seere is useful where the result depends on movement between places, people, systems or states.

Seere for Finding Lost Objects and Hidden Things

The grimoire specifically gives Seere power over thefts and hidden treasure, which makes him a natural spirit for locating missing property. I distinguish between something that is simply misplaced and something that may have been taken. State which situation you suspect, but do not pretend certainty if you do not have it.

For this kind of work, I combine Seere with a simple divinatory method. After contact is established, I ask for the direction, circumstance or person connected with the missing item and then use a black mirror, cleromancy or another oracle to narrow the answer.

My guide to cleromancy works especially well for this because it gives the spirit a structured way to answer practical questions.

Seere for Fast Results

“Fast” does not mean “without cause.” If you ask Seere to accelerate something that has no route through which it can happen, the ritual has nothing to work with. I get better results by identifying the process that already exists and asking Seere to move it.

For example, rather than asking vaguely for “quick success,” I would ask for a specific approval to move, for a delayed message to arrive, for a buyer to make a decision, for a stalled transaction to clear, or for a hidden opening to become visible. The clearer the path, the more useful Seere’s speed becomes.

Offerings to Prince Seere

The historical Goetic entry does not prescribe a dedicated offering list for Seere, so modern offerings should be treated as ritual choices rather than ancient facts. I prefer offerings that match movement, clarity and courtesy.

Offering Why I use it
Frankincense Creates a clear ceremonial atmosphere without weighing down a fast-working rite
White wine A formal offering that suits Seere’s courteous character
Clean water Useful when the working is about clarity, recovery or travel
Incense burned in thanks Simple offering after a result arrives
Dedicated action Completing a delayed task in Seere’s name mirrors his office of swift execution

Planetary and Elemental Correspondences

Modern occult sources often assign Seere to Jupiter, Pisces, water, tin and Thursday. Those correspondences can be useful as a working system, but they are not stated in the old Goetic description itself.

I use Jupiter when the request concerns abundance, expansion or fortunate movement. For pure speed, I may introduce Mercurial symbolism instead because Mercury governs movement, messages and transfer more directly. The point is to support the operation, not to force Seere into one permanent planetary box.

I treat elemental correspondences the same way. Air fits movement and speed; water fits flow and recovery; neither needs to be declared the one eternal “element of Seere.”

How to Summon Seere: The Winged Gate Evocation

This ritual is built around movement between two points. Instead of filling the altar with unrelated correspondences, the rite creates an origin, a destination and a clear route between them. That structure mirrors Seere’s office of carrying, returning and bringing matters to sudden completion.

Prepare the Two Gates

Place Seere’s sigil at the center of the altar with a black mirror behind it. Set one white candle on the left and one pale blue candle on the right. The left candle represents the matter as it stands now. The right candle represents the destination or completed state.

Between them lay a straight black cord. This is the route. Near the right candle place one object representing the desired result. It might be a key for relocation, a written name for a delayed communication, or a document connected with an approval or transaction. Keep it directly relevant to the request.

Burn frankincense and mark a working circle with salt or your normal ritual method. Place the offering beside Seere’s sigil.

Open the Contact

Light the left candle first. Gaze at Seere’s seal and begin the enn:

Jeden et Renich Seere tu tasa.

Repeat it until your attention narrows and the ritual space feels distinct from ordinary consciousness. If reaching trance is difficult, use my guide on entering a trance state before attempting the full evocation.

Then stop chanting, raise the athame toward the sigil and speak:

Prince Seere, swift rider who crosses the world in a moment, I call you by your name and seal. Come to this gate and hear the matter I place before you. Bring movement where there has been delay, reveal what is hidden, and carry this work toward its proper completion.

Trace Seere’s sigil once in the air above the mirror, then lower the blade and remain silent.

Name What Must Move

State the present condition in one clear paragraph. Explain what is delayed, missing or blocked. Do not turn this into a long emotional speech. Seere’s current works best when the desired movement is precise.

Now take the object representing the result and hold it over the left candle without bringing it close enough to burn. Move it slowly along the cord toward the right candle while saying exactly what you want to happen.

When it reaches the right side, light the second candle.

Open the Winged Road

Point the athame along the cord from left to right and say:

Seere, carry this matter from where it stands to where it must arrive. Let the road shorten. Let delay break. Let what is hidden become visible, and let the proper result come into reach with speed and accuracy.

Ring a bell once. I use a single bell strike here because the rite is about decisive movement, not repeated ceremonial buildup.

Then look into the black mirror and allow several minutes of silence. If Seere communicates through imagery, words or a sudden understanding of what needs to happen next, receive it without immediately judging it.

Present the Offering

Pour the wine or water and state that it is given to Seere in recognition of his presence and assistance. If you are using incense as the offering, add a fresh portion now.

If the request involves finding something hidden, ask one direct question before returning to the mirror: where should you look, who is connected with it, or what circumstance has concealed it? Keep the question narrow enough to produce a useful answer.

Close the Evocation

When the exchange is complete, thank Seere and state that the formal audience is ended while the agreed work continues. Extinguish the left candle first and the right candle second. Remove the cord and keep the object representing the completed result near Seere’s sigil until the matter resolves.

Once the result arrives, burn frankincense in thanks or give the offering you promised. Do not keep repeating the full rite simply because the result did not appear overnight. Seere is a spirit of speed, but impatience can still make a magician interfere with their own operation.

Attuning to Seere

Attunement should be simpler than evocation. Place the sigil before you, burn frankincense and repeat the enn while looking at the seal. When the atmosphere shifts, stop chanting and remain receptive for several minutes.

I use attunement to learn the feel of Seere’s current before asking for larger results. It also helps distinguish genuine contact from expectation because repeated sessions create a recognizable pattern.

Signs of Contact With Seere

Seere’s presence often feels light, quick and alert rather than heavy. I pay attention to sudden mental movement, imagery of roads, horses, wings, rapid travel or objects changing location, along with a strong sense that a stalled situation has become active.

Dreams after the rite may also emphasize movement, messages, transport or discovery. One isolated symbol proves very little. Repetition across ritual, dreams, divination and practical events carries more weight.

Seere for Abundance and Opportunity

The Goetic language about bringing things to the magician can also be applied to opportunity and material gain. I do not reduce Seere to a wealth spirit, but he can be useful when the problem is access rather than creation. An opportunity may already exist but remain distant, unseen or slow to arrive.

In that situation, I ask Seere to shorten the distance between myself and the opportunity, reveal where it is hidden and move the relevant people or circumstances into contact.

Seere for Travel and Relocation

Seere’s traditional office of crossing the world in an instant gives him an obvious connection with travel and relocation. I use that current when the objective concerns smooth movement, rapid arrangements, finding the right route or accelerating practical steps connected with a move.

Again, the ritual should be tied to the real process. If paperwork, scheduling or communication is what actually controls the timing, name that mechanism rather than asking vaguely for “fast travel.”

Working With Seere Long Term

Seere does not require constant elaborate ceremony. If you want an ongoing relationship, consistency is more useful than theatrical repetition. Keep the same seal, record results, and distinguish between brief attunement, full evocation and simple offerings of thanks.

His current is especially useful for magicians who tend to overthink and delay action. Working with Seere can become a discipline in its own right: decide what needs to move, make the request clearly, and then act quickly when the opening appears.

Final Thoughts on Prince Seere

Seere is one of the most direct spirits in the Goetia because his office revolves around movement. He goes, returns, carries, reveals and brings things to sudden effect. The image of the winged horse captures the entire current better than a long list of modern correspondences ever could.

If you work with him, give him something specific to move. Name the delay, define the destination, establish contact and then be ready to respond when the situation begins changing faster than it did before.
