7 Proven Ways to Get Supernatural Powers in Real Life
Many people dismiss any talk of supernatural powers immediately. They believe that they simply aren’t possible. That we’re all limited by physical conditions that are just the same for all people on the planet.
But if that were the case, we couldn’t explain outright bizarre Guinness World Records that question everything we know about our minds and bodies. We’d have to dismiss all the anecdotal evidence of paranormal activities as well.
Astral projection and lucid dreaming are two examples worth mentioning. Others are the immense resistance to cold conditions of the “Ice Man” Wim Hof, endless memory capabilities of Dominic O’Brien, photographic memory of Swami Vivekananda… these are just a few examples.
Having said that, I don’t like to use the word “supernatural”. I much rather prefer the word “superhuman”. Whether something is beyond nature or not really depends on the criteria that person has for the word “nature”.
For some people, even the spiritual realms that aren’t part of the physically observable universe are “natural”, simply because they exist. Supernatural in that sense is just something that science hasn’t researched because it lacks the tools or willingness to do so.
But let’s not allow semantics to get in the way. Because I know what you actually mean. You want superpowers. You want to be more physically and mentally capable than the rest of humanity. You want to be a force to be reckoned with.. and possibly feared. Here are 7 effective ways to get such immense powers in real life.
1. Memorize anything fast with Mnemonic Techniques
You can develop an amazing memory you never even dreamed was possible. And there are actual scientifically backed techniques to do so. They are called mnemonics.
These techniques were actually used by ancient philosophers and poets to memorize important books in a time when books where hard to come by. They were further developed by occultists in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, most notably by Giordano Bruno and Marsilio Ficino.
Mnemonics work by association. You associate a word or a number with a location, specific object and activity. By connecting the word with an image, the mind is much more likely to remember it. For example, if you think about Egypt, an image of pyramids or the sphinx comes to mind. If you think of the USA, the image of the US flag or perhaps Donald Trump will be your association.
You can create your own image association for different words, numbers or stories. Making it much easier to study any subject, learn a foreign language vocabulary or any other information.
If you want to learn the occult history of mnemonics the best book on the topic is The Art of Memory by Frances Yates. If you want to delve into the practical side and learn these techniques, then pick up one of the books by the memory champion Dominic O’Brien like his bestseller You Can Have An Amazing Memory.
Dominic’s book will show you how to remember list of hundreds or thousands of items in one go, how to create a memory palace, how to memorize thousands of words in a foreign language and so much more.
By developing your capacity for memorizing and recollecting data beyond your wildest dreams, you can dominate any intellectual field to the point where it truly seems like a supernatural power to yourself and others.
The best part about this is that ANYONE can do it. It doesn’t take any talent, and in fact you can begin memorizing shorter lists of items straight away. Here’s a video of Dominic O’Brien demonstrating a fraction of his memorization and recollection power:
2. Develop cold resistance with the Wim Hof Method
You can build up your immune system to the point where you never again catch a cold. You can also climb a mountain entirely naked in winter time. Or perhaps swim in a frozen lake and survive to tell the tale.
This is the promise AND reality of the Wim Hof Method. Wim Hof is known as the Ice Man, because he holds many Guinness World Records for cold resistance challenges. He swam the longest in a frozen lake, climbed the Mount Everest only wearing shorts and holds the record time for ice immersion.
Don’t believe me? Then check out this video:
The best part is that his achievements are not based on any special talent. They’re all based on a special breathing technique. This technique is not his own creation, because it was already used by Tibetan monks to generate heat.
These monks lived in the mountains and this way their way of dealing with their cold surroundings. Who has the time to chop wood anyway when you’re meditating 24/7 like these guys, right? So Wim merely focused on this technique and developed it fully. Now he teaches it online and in real life.
The breathing technique is called “Fire Breathing” or “Fire Breath” in some ancient manuscripts. Wim also combines cold showers, cold water immersion and yoga to maximize the results and improve vitality in other ways as well.
I remember reading about this breathing technique being used by Tibetan monks long ago in the great Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. You can see the method demonstrated by Wim Hof himself in this video and try it for yourself:
You can also find a full video course on Wim Hof’s website that takes you step-by-step through the process of becoming an Ice Man.
3. Practice Brahmacharya for INSTANT photographic memory
Are you willing to sacrifice sexual pleasure for incredible physical and mental power? If you are, the path of Brahmacharya might be exactly what you’re looking for. This is the path of complete celibacy, both in mind and body. What that means is abstaining from sex, masturbation and avoiding any sexual thoughts.
The now very popular NoFap movement is a modern and more relaxed version of Brahmacharya. You will notice many “Fapstronauts” as they like to call themselves report amazing benefits of semen retention and living a life of purity. Some of these include more physical strength, improved mental clarity and resilience, improvement of chronic health conditions and so much more.
But the most extreme consequences were reported by Swami Vivekananda, a famous Indian spiritual guru who practiced celibacy for over 12 years. Thanks to chastity and sexual transmutation he was blessed with an instant photographic memory.
To read a book all he had to do was flip the pages once and all the information stayed imprinted in his mind forever. He could read hundreds, thousands of pages every day and have perfect recollection of all the information. This may seem crazy, but crazy results come from crazy dedication.
Do you have what it takes to be celibate for 12 years in the prime of your life? Try and let me know how it went. Until you do, here’s the forever interesting Vivekananda’s story for you to marvel at:
4. Drastically reduce sleep and improve endurance with the Buteyko Method
Buteyko Method was developed by Soviet Ukrainian doctor Konstantin Buteyko to improve physical condition of Soviet astronauts. Buteyko realized that most people hyperventilate throughout the day. This means that they are breathing more than they have to.
Breathing too much reduces the body’s ability to absorb oxygen. Imagine someone who’s in poor physical condition. He has to breath more while running or doing any other activity then someone with better endurance. So the less you breath, the healthier and more powerful you are. This is the summary of Buteyko’s findings.
Buteyko devised special breathing techniques to lower breathing volume. For example, walking without any air in your lungs. Or in general breathing only through your nose. Running, swimming and other cardio exercises performed while only breathing through the nose will also lead to reduced breathing.
Thankfully, Buteyko was a scientist and the entire Method is very scientifically organized, so you can observe your progress. After you reach a phase where you only need to breath 3-4 times per minute, you will notice immense improvement in endurance and you’ll need way less sleep. Many chronic health conditions may disappear. There are also many mental benefits that come along with reduced breathing.
Buteyko noticed that yogis have reduced breathing, especially those who practice Hatha Yoga. In fact, many of the benefits of yoga, meditation, qi gong and similar spiritual techniques are the side effect of the reduced breathing. But you can go directly at the source by practicing the free Buteyko Method on your own.
The best source of information online is doctor Artour Rakhimov’s website NormalBreathing.com. In this video he explains some logic behind the Method:
5. Learn astral projection
Traditional metaphysics hold that we are both physical and spiritual. In other words we have a body, soul and spirit. That part in between is mediated by an astral form. This is a subtle body that connects our physical form and non-physical form. Without this astral body we couldn’t ascend spiritually to any heights. So it acts like a bridge.
But you can learn how to free yourself from the physical body and be only in the astral form. This subtle form can fly, go through walls, travel through space and even time. The options are virtually limitless. This supernatural power is called “astral projection”. Some people can naturally do astral projection, others can develop it over time.
The best way to practice astral projection is as you’re falling asleep. Lay on your back and try not to move at all. Even if you have an itch or anything like that, you mustn’t move. After a while of being in the same position, your body will start to go asleep. But your mind will still be awake!
This is called sleep paralysis. It can be a scary experience as you might even start to hallucinate and hear strange noises and feel paranoid. But don’t worry, it’s a good sign as you’ve entered theta brainwave state. Now you can try to separate from your body. Your body is asleep remember, so you can’t move it. You can only move with your mind.
After practicing for a while, you will notice you can ‘get out of your body’, perhaps a few millimeters. As you get better at it, you will eventually come out all the way. Next step is to move freely through the air, very similar to popular depictions of ghosts. But remember, you can always return to your body when you’ve had enough of astral travel.
There are still debates as to whether astral projection is only a hallucination or the astral form actually travels in physical space-time continuum. The latter could well be true, as many people have reported seeing things that actually happened while they were asleep in the other room.
People who’ve had near-death experiences also leave the body in an astral form and can often recollect what the surgeon and the nurses were saying while they were lying dead in the bed.
There’s no rational explanation so we can definitely assume that there’s a supernatural element to astral projection. And as I mentioned, you can develop this skill gradually by focusing on freeing yourself from the body while laying in bed.
6. Become lucid in your dreams
Did you know that you can actually wake up in your own dream and have full control of it. This is called “lucid dreaming”. Some people have this natural ability just like astral projection mentioned earlier. They can literally decide what they want to dream and then become conscious in that dream. Then they can manipulate the environment and do anything they want in it.
It’s like being a god in your own personal reality far away from any physical restrictions of daily life. You can fly, meet your favorite people in the world, like Aleister Crowley, or have some wild encounters with your high school crush. Whatever you want really.
Some techniques to start lucid dreaming include keepin a dream journal. Upon waking up, immediately record everything you remember from your dream in the journal. This will help you distinguish between reality and dream. You need to become aware that you’re in the dream in the first place in order to become conscious and able to move.
You can also look at your hand and count your fingers throughout the day. Because in dreams you will often have 6 or more fingers on one hand. So if you make this a habit there’s a good chance you’ll look at your hand in the dream and realize you’re actually asleep.
Another thing you can do is imagine what you want to dream in full detail as you lay in bed. Make the picture very vivid and there’s also a chance your mind will listen.
Be patient, as it can take weeks or even months to become good at lucid dreaming. But as you can imagine it’s a truly amazing supernatural power to have. It can enrich your life beyond your wildest dreams (pun intended).
7. Full pain-resistance through meditation
We all want to avoid pain, but no one in their right mind believes that you can be in pain and not actually feel it?
There’s a medical condition where people literally can’t feel physical pain but this comes at their own detriment. They can brake a leg and not even feel it, which can lead to serious consequences down the road. Especially for little children who’ve been reported to pick their own eyes out! Scary stuff. But you can develop full pain-resistance through consistent levels of meditation.
Buddhist monks have a history of self-immolation for political protests and to simply prove a point that they’ve reached a state beyond physical limits. They can sit in a lotus position while their body is burning without even flinching a bit.
You can imagine that having this power would make you feel invincible. No one could threaten you with bodily harm because you wouldn’t even feel it. You could withstand hours of literal torture if you had to. Of course, these are very unpleasant scenarios to even think about, but the benefit of this supernatural power are very obvious.
Practicing meditation for hours on end, fasting and performing other spiritual exercises in a Mahayana Buddhist temple environment would be most conducive to developing this power.
